At every venue of the tour, ifa invites local designers to show their works together with Pure Gold. The workshops that take place at the international touring exhibition venues with local designer and maker scenes are guided by Axel Kufus and the design duo Studio Lapatsch|Unger (Annika Unger and Anja Lapatsch). A direct result of the workshops are Instructables, simple and non-verbal video instructions in stop-motion format that invite the spectator to imitate and gain a new perspective on waste materials.

Pure Gold is an exhibition organized by the ifa (Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen), Stuttgart, Germany, which promotes art and cultural exchange in exhibitions, dialogue and conference programs.
As a competence center for international cultural relations, ifa connects civil societies, cultural practices, art, media and science. The ifa is supported by the Federal Foreign Office of the Federal Republic of Germany, the state of Baden-Württemberg and its capital Stuttgart.
