Skateboards, transportation made of multiplex cut to make for ski-shaped mobility. Never completely plane, always slightly curved – like a ski. Cut into single slats, they are used to make slim lampshades. With another cut, they can be small comfortable stools, perfectly fitting and ergonomic.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Jakob Michael Landes
From 2007 to 2009 Jakob Michael Landes undertook vocational training as a technical design assistant with a focus on graphic and object design. He then concentrated on product design and in 2013 he completed studies in product design at the Aachen University of Applied Sciences, Germany. During these studies he successfully took part in the Student Design Award for Rapid Manufacturing, the Coca-Cola Design+ Award, the Young Creations Award 2012: Upcycling, and the RecyclingDesignpreis 2015.

Pure Gold is an exhibition organized by the ifa (Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen), Stuttgart, Germany, which promotes art and cultural exchange in exhibitions, dialogue and conference programs.
