ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Anchana Thongpaithoon
Anchana received a bachelor's degree in the field of Decorative Arts (Product Design) from Silpakorn University, Bangkok. After starting at existing studios, she founded her own studio, Salt and Pepper Design Studio, together with a colleague in 2009. Furthermore, she also created the brand Mha Dog and Living three years later. Her work has gained an international reputation and has won her several awards. Anchana's love for design brought her to the “Maison & Objet” Exhibition in Paris twice and she was part of the Bangkok Design Week in 2018 with the Taste Test-Exhibition. Anchana´s work is highly professional and she mostly works with new materials, but some time ago she also started to work in the upcycling scene and to make use of wasted paper for re-building new products.

Pure Gold is an exhibition organized by the ifa (Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen), Stuttgart, Germany, which promotes art and cultural exchange in exhibitions, dialogue and conference programs.
As a competence center for international cultural relations, ifa connects civil societies, cultural practices, art, media and science. The ifa is supported by the Federal Foreign Office of the Federal Republic of Germany, the state of Baden-Württemberg and its capital Stuttgart.
