THE BIODEGADABLE FUNCTIONAL TABLEWARE
Roongtip Luilao, THA, developed since 2014
The peels of watermelon, pomelo and other fruits are everted and dehydrated for a specific temperature and time to harden them. The fruit peels’ natural fibres are tough enough to hold liquid and even hot foods, like soup. The attached but removeable wooden handles and bases give clear visual hints for their new function.
