The series uses plastic utensils industrially manufactured and sold in 99-cent stores allied to old components and connectors. The objects are never the same, as the components’ shapes and colours combinations always vary.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER

Brunno Jahara

Brunno Jahara is a product designer. He set up his own design office, Jahara Studio, based in Rio de Janeiro, working with a diverse range of clients from all over the world. After studying at the University of Brasilia and the Iuav University of Venice, Italy, he became a member of Fabrica’s design department, developing collections for several clients and for Fabrica itself. He has participated in exhibitions and has presented his personal universe at great venues, including La Triennale di Milano, Cooper Hewitt Design Museum, Centre Georges Pompidou, Milan Furniture Fair and other design events worldwide. His work has been featured in magazines and on websites such as Architectural Digest, Case da Abitare, Casa Vogue, Domus, Dezeen, DesignBoom, Elle Decor, Interni, Ideat, Wallpaper and The New York Times.
His designs often combine organic shapes with tropical inspiration using a selection of sustainable and recycled materials. This combination produces unique results, making every piece special and collectible. Globally and locally inspired, his work represents his own background and his interpretations of the diverse multicultural societies that we live in today.
